Warm Browns with a Pop of Blue

This look is a fun way to add a pop of color into an otherwise neutral shadow combination. Vibrant blues always make the eyes look bright and rested, but it is a wearable enough color to try for work or school. The cool blue juxtaposed against the warm brown shadows create interest and spark, making it the perfect easy look for summer.

Special Event & Bridal Makeup

This makeup look is simple to re-create and is perfect for any special occasion or for a bride on her wedding day! It uses all neutral shades and has a delicate sculpting in the outer portion of the eye. This sculpting technique adds drama without being too dark or overwhelming, and can be done with any color combination. For the entire eye look, I used Stila's Eyes Are The Window 'Spirit' Palette. The shadows are super versatile and extremely easy to blend. The palette is also very compact, perfect if you are looking for something to travel with.

Purple and Gold Eyes

Deep purples look great on everybody, and they are one of the easiest colors to experiment with if you are looking to try something other than basic neutrals. I combined the purple tones with a bright pop of champagne-gold to keep the look from being too dark, and I only shaded the outer corners of the eyes to give them a large and cat-like effect. If bright colors aren't your thing, try this elongated shadow shape in tans and browns!

Magenta Lips and Simple Eyes

I put together a simple spring look that only takes minutes to do, but leaves you feeling fresh and colorful. The Illamasqua lipgloss is the one piece that I really recommend trying, it is super long lasting and the color changes depending on what lipstick you place it over!

Champagne & Bronze - Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadows

My standard eye look is warm neutrals, you all can probably tell by the amount of tutorials that I've done using my Anastasia Lavish Palette, but if you haven't, I've linked them at the bottom. Even though the Lavish Palette was limited edition, you can still purchase the individual colors here.
A few days ago I stopped by the Sephora that I used to work in to see all of the new goodies, and one of my friends applied the prettiest new highlight for me! It is the Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Duo in Pink/Beige, and it's stunning! I'd seen it in photos but I hadn't realized how pearlescent and shimmery it was, with reflects of pinks, silvers and blues. There is also a goldish one for darker skin tones, so I'd highly recommend going to take a peek!

Anastasia Lavish Palette

Eyes
1. Prime the eyes to prevent creasing and ensure long lasting and intense color payoff, I used my Urban Decay Primer Potion.
2. Shade the crease to add definition, I used 'orange soda' along the entire length and 'sienna' on the inner and out edges to darken.
3. On the center of the lid, I added some pencil strokes with my Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Stick in 'pink opal' and topped it with Make Up For Ever Star Powder in #940.
4. Re-darken the outer edge with a mix of 'sienna' and brown shimmery color called 'rum cake'.
5. In the middle of the crease where the eye curves the most, add a cranberry shade for dimension, I used 'pink sapphire' from the Lavish Palette.
6. Add winged liner and mascara, I used my Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in 'Trooper'.
7. On a pencil brush, take a tiny bit of black shadow and deepen the outer-most edge of the crease, I used 'black diamond' from the Lavish Palette.
8. For the lower lashline I used a mix of 'orange soda' and 'sienna' and then added black liner on the outer two thirds, and brightening the inner corners with the same Laura Mercier pencil.
9. Finish the look by filling in the brows, I used my Too Faced BulletProof Brows in 'Brunette' and my Anastasia Brow Gel in 'Caramel'.

Nicole & Chris Wedding

A few months back I had the pleasure of doing wedding makeup for this lovely bride, also named Nicole! She wanted a classic yet defined makeup look to go with her gorgeous dress, so we stuck to matte neutrals for her eyes and shades of rose for her cheeks and lips. Scroll to bottom of the post for the product details!

I love these shots that Greg and Melissa, of Greg Lewis Photography captured! It's so nice when a wedding photographer is able to catch every single detail of the big day!

4. Dust a shimmery brown into the crease and outer third of the eye to add dimension, I used Nars Dual Intensity shadow in 'Himalia'.
5. With a damp brush, pat a shimmery pastel shade onto the lid, I used Nars Dual Intensity shadow in 'Cassiopeia'.
6. Add mascara to the top lashes and outer corners of the bottom lashes to open the eyes.
