Editorial Tennis Shoot

Last month I did the makeup for this editorial tennis shoot. I drew inspiration from our location to create the look, using a simple minty green liner along the top lash line contrasted against a bright orange lip.

I wanted the makeup to have a fresh, summer vibe while still remaining minimal and sporty. Orange and green is a super fun/whimsical color combination and it looks great on golden skin tones; the contrasting shades really made Krystal's features pop!

NO KA'OI Photo Shoot

I recently did the makeup for a shoot with NO KA'OI, a fabulous action-couture brand specializing in high performance workout clothes for women.

I love spicing up this blog with images of my fashion work, and I think it's a ton of fun to find out what products other makeup artists love on set, so I put together a little list of what the key products that I used to create these looks. All info and credits are listed the bottom of the post!

I drew inspiration for the makeup from the graphic lines and colors of the garments to create a fashion conscious eye-look while letting the skin remain fresh and sporty.

To change from the first to the second look, I extended the liner into a bold ombre wing and punched up the lower lash line with a contrasting color.

Colorful Smokey Eyes

metallic eyeshadow

This makeup is probably my favorite colorful smokey eye I've ever done! Interesting texture was super important to me for this look so I played with a mix of metallics, glitters and mattes for a good contrast and dimension. I kept the skin super natural and glowy to give it an editorial feel. Keep reading to find out some of the products I used to create this look!

Rachael & Steve's Beach Engagement

When I met Rachael early this spring for her makeup trial, I was immediately drawn to her sweet, bubbly personality and gorgeous blue eyes! She told me that she was obsessed with flirty eyelashes, so we based her look around some customized falsies and a beautiful smoky liner.

Mel & Marshall Engaged!

Here are some photos from Mel and Marshall's snowy engagement session shot by Callaway Gable Photography. Mel wanted natural looking makeup with flirty lashes, so I did a combination of golds, sands and a bit of rose on the eyes paired with a soft pink lip. She was super sweet to talk to and I know that she will make a beautiful bride! All other details are at the bottom of the post.
